Our ductwork brush is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre around any large kitchen ensuring that anywhere can be reached above the kitchen. The brush can easily travel down the duct brushing away hardened grease after cleaning chemical has been applied. For best results use the Foam Box first and spray the entire system in Heavy Duty Grease Cleaner then push the brush up into the ductwork system and move it around until all the grease has been lifted this ensures the absolute best results.

There are several different companies making brushing machines for air ducts, but how many really understand what is required for using in Grease Ducts? Not many is the answer.
When there is a requirement for a brushing machine to be used, the operator will have PPE on and this will include gloves suitable to protect from the choice of chemical. So, keeping the operation and process as simple as possible is what is really required. The HEY Range of brushing machines are made to last and simple to use. All you need a machine to do, is brush right, brush left, spray foam and keep straight in a duct. This sounds simple but I believe Hey Cleaning Technology are the only company to perfect this without damaging or breaking the head of the machine. For horizontal ducts or larger vertical ducts, you need to use a centralizer to keep the brushes straight in the duct. Using an air powered centralizer is good while going forward, but when you want to come backwards, the wheels and legs have no give in them and get stuck on the flanges between the sections of duct. When cleaning visibility is an issue, so you can’t see the problem and operators on the machine will pull the hose and this will weaken the head and torsion bar inside, contributing to the head breaking. What is required is a centralizer that can be set at different angles and can be used in any shape or duct up to around 950mm. The Hey Centralizer combines flexibility and the ability to position the brushes where you want them and not just in the middle of the duct. So for instance, if you need to brush down the right hand side of the duct, extend the left legs to position the brushes tighter to the right side, cleating more agitation on the duct. All that is needed is a simple twist with an Allen key to reset the centralizer and reposition the spring-loaded legs. The Hey Brush itself has the added safety of the controls being on the top of the machine and not inside the reel itself. I have seen firsthand an arm being broken when an operator pulled the hose, while his colleague was changing the brush direction. All the components of the machine are inside the frame of the machine. When you are manoeuvring the machine around, you can’t see the sides and going through a door or tight area, you don’t want any external parts as they will break when making contact with door frames, walls, getting the machine in and out of the van and also travelling in the van. We have also made the machine to be considerably lighter than the other similar machines, as sometimes it is needed to carry the machine upstairs, so the lighter the machine the better! All in all, Hey Cleaning Technology have really put a lot of thought into building the best machine available for cleaning grease ducts. With the added luxury of being compatible and working together with the Foam Box, we think we are giving our customers the best in Class! When it comes to cleaning to TR/19 standard, the responsibility put on the teams carrying out the work is significant. The reporting procedure, before and after pictures, WFTT, leaving site tidy and much more.
So, would it not make sense to give your teams the most efficient tools to carry out their job? We appreciate that everyone has not got the funds to purchase a full cleaning system, but from £35 per week, the Foam Box is a must have and not a nice to have. The specially formulated chemical made to liquify the grease and make removal easier, the perfect dilution to stop the chance of white residue being left on the surface after, this is all part of reducing the man hours needed per clean. Reducing man hours will allow you to reduce the number of employees required onsite on large jobs, or the amount of time needed on site. This is perfect for 24-hour sites, where downtime has to be kept to a minimum and any time spent cleaning, is lost revenue. The Foam Box is the simplest machine available to use, simply connect to your chosen chemical and turn on to Foam. There is no need for an external water supply or separate compressor, as everything is contained inside the amazing box. The Foam Box has a separate rinse button, which allows higher pressure cleaning, so it is perfect for cleaning up on roofs, floors and also rinsing down risers after a clean. The Foam Box comes with 15M of hose, so cleaning down a riser from the top is so simple and rotating the foam nozzle allows full coving of the duct with our unique foaming chemical. When cleaning the canopy, 5 minutes spent sheeting up the canopy, will save up to an hour on the cleaning process and reduce the amount of mess to clean up afterwards. Once the Foam has been sprayed on, it can be left to do its work and leave your employees to clean another area. With normal foam or liquid, several applications are needed as the chemical will run off the surface, but not with the Foam Box chemical. For the cleaning of fans, it is a simple process, simply foam the housing, blades, etc and then just agitate the foam into the grease on heavily polluted areas. Simply wipe the residue away and the chemical will help remove the residue without needing to scrape the surface. The Chemical will liquify the grease to make it much more efficient to clean. With ductwork, simply spray the Foam onto the duct in front of you and let it liquify the grease. For heavily polluted areas you can agitate the chemical into the surface to speed up the cleaning process. Wipe the residue away and there is no need to rinse, as the chemical has surfactants in it, to leave the surface clean and dry. As you will find for yourself when you try the Foam Box, it is the most important tool on your van and the best return on investment you will buy! For more information, please call Geoff on 07740175450, or email geoffhunt@theheygroup.net. Our Foam Box comes with several different nozzles to ensure maximum coverage of any area. The chemical starts working immediately and lifting the grease and carbon, so it is then ready to be brushed away and then wiped to reveal the finish. We can also brand your Foam Box with your own branding, we can show your team how to use it or send our setup video. Its easy to set up and ensures jobs are done in half the time!
